Snow White is Love

It has been a long time since I have been writing blog posts. I guess the reason is just that I am too lazy :) Just look at the date difference. The last one was written in sec 3 when I came back from Japan. Haha XD Perhaps the trip from Germany has made me wanna write something down so that I won't forget this WONDERFUL trip.

EVERY OVERSEAS TRIP THAT I GO WITH THE SCHOOL MAKES AN IMPACT ON ME. IT CHANGES THE WAY I VIEW THE WORLD, THE WAY  I THINK AND BEHAVE. BASICALLY, IT CHANGES ME .

The trip to Germany mad me more mature. Every trip is a trip of SELF-REALISATION.

Perhaps the reason why I did not make this blog a PRIVATE one is because I want people to reflect on themselves, on their lives and now more about yourselves.

As I grew older, more things starts becoming clearer to me, yet at the same time, things become murkier.
There is no such thing as a clear line of right and wrong, black and white. ABSOLUTE does not exist. Only the difference in EXTENT.

Actually I should be reflecting on my History learning journey to GERMANY, why am I talking about some LIFE THEORY? My mind is clogged up. There is just ENDLESS things to do, goals to achieve and expectations to be met.

Should I go back to do my PW article for the blog or should I continue recording down things that happened on the trip in Germany?
*I am such a person with conflicting ideas!*

 Ok... I think I should go back to finishing the PW articles. Reflection for Germany can wait..
I always don't have my priorities right.
*Irritated with myself*

Wait..
Self-talk for a moment....

I MISS JAPAN !!! :'(
i REALLY HAD A GREAT TIME THERE. SO MUCH SO THAT I DON'T WANNA COME BACK. THE PLACE IS AMAZING. BUT DESPITE THE HIGH STANDARD OF LIVING,EVERYBODY IS SO POLITE AND RESPECTFUL TOWARDS EACH OTHER, SOMETHING THAT YOU DON'T SEE OFTEN IN SINGAPORE.IT MAKES ME FEEL THAT SINGAPORE IS A RATHER COLD PLCE. PEOPLE DON'T CARE OF EACH OTHER.ALL THEY DO IS BACKSTAB EACH OTHER. COMPETE WITH EACH OTHER. THAT'S WHAT SINGAPOREANS DO THEIR WHOLE LIFE.
IT MAKES ME WONDER :IS IS REALLY WORTH IT FIGHTING YOUR WHOLE LIFE ,COMEPTING TO BE THE BEST?
SCHOOL WAS GREAT TOO. I HAD DAMN LOT OF FRIENDS COMPARED TO WHEN I'M IN SINGAPORE.NEW FRIENDS:YUKA,AYAKA(TWINS),ARISA,NAO,KEIKO,HANAKO,AEIKO.THEY REALLY TREAt people with sincerity and it really touched my heart. Despite having some language barriers, they still tried their best to entertain and speak to me. Compared to when Kyoka's in Singapore, none of us was so 热情to her. Mind you, I was more CRAZY in Japan compared to me in Singapore. I laughed out more loudly, jumed around on the corridor more crazily, took more photos than ever, smiling to my heart's content. I had never felt so FREE.
That feeling made me love their school life.
Homestay was another best part of the trip. I shan't elaborate about it. It'll always stay in my heart.
I MISS KYOKA & HER FAMILY & HER FRIENDS.
AND PERHAPS ANELA TOO~

Hi people,
I think this will be the last post before I leave for Japan.
So enjoy it! I’ll be back in no time.
Seriously , time really really flies. In no time, I’m the one going to my dear buddy’s house.
I’m not afraid of being in a different environment but being in Japan , where my dear buddy has a DOG and there’s some language barrier. This time it’s not going to be easy . But I’ll TRY
I keep hoping that you all can come along but the hosting prob. Haiz . let’s not talk about it.
Gina was saying that she wants to be squeeze into my luggage. Actually given ur size it’s ok but my brother ( the youngest) say he wanna go wif me first so… sorry gina . hahahaha
Anyway, people. U can sms me when I’m in japan ! I will reply if possible ( if I have internet access) but it’s fine if u jus wanna send random fun sms to entertain me in foreign land. Keep saying that makes me feel a little .. pathetic. Nah . I wont . I’ll make the best out of it 
So if while u are in Singapore while I’m in japan , and u want me to help u buy anything in particular. Sms me and I’ll try my best 
So people ! BYE ~!!!

Come and welcome me on 18th NOV , 5.20pm

Clara's 2nd comment...
"At first I was thinking of getting the grade 8 scales and syllabus CD for you, but I gotta tell you the CD won't be cheap. In Grade 8, pieces have to be bought separately (not compiled anymore unlike the first 7 grades).

But I changed my mind. Like I said, you need to aim for consistently accurate intonation even from the first position. When you're at least 80% confident, we'll move on to 3rd position etc.. as well as various bowing techniques. Then we'll talk about vibrato.

Attend SSO concerts. Get a good feel of the emotions flowing out of the music. I have the Silver Friend of the SSO so you can get 15% discount off all tickets. If you can predetermine your schedule, you can suscribe to concerts and get as much as 30% discount. Listening to CDs is good too, but being present is different.

As for your sms which you sent today. In my opinion, I have to say I feel your intonation and hearing ability is probably at around Grade 2+. There is still hope provided you're determined to do well."

~~~I might not be as good as others now(in terms of studies, violin ad everything else), but I will be in the future . I will show u. I won't disappoint ever again!
Next year will be a fresh year. a year where SLACKING is PROHIBITED . ~~~
~~~天下没有白吃的午餐,无论是什么事都要付出努力,对于一个天资较差的人,她必须比别人付出多一倍的努力,甚至是多两倍、三倍的努力。我就是那个人。~~~

Important notes about VIBRATO !

Violin vibrato is similar to vocal vibrato—it is a slight and rapid fluctuation in pitch, and is used to add warmth and expression to music. There are three types of vibrato: finger, hand, arm or a combination of all three. Many violinists use a combination of finger and hand vibrato. This type of vibrato is produced by a back and forth rolling motion of the finger and hand on the string, resulting in the pitch being lowered and raised. Variations in the width and speed of the vibrato can produce a wide range of expression. The following definitions are excerpts from the renowned violin pedagogue Ivan Galamian's book Principles of Violin Playing and Teaching, pages 38-40, and explain the three types of vibrato in more detail:
Hand Vibrato: "In this type of vibrato, the hand swings from a more-or-less immobilized arm. The finger elongates itself as the hand swings backwards toward the scroll and then resumes its original curved position as the hand returns to its starting point."

Arm Vibrato: "The impulse, instead of coming from the hand, now comes from the forearm, and, in this case also, the finger has to yield passively. The finger should be firm enough to hold the string down and to retain its place on the string, but flexible enough to submit to the motion of the arm. It must stretch and recurve with the backward and forward swing of the vibrato cycle."

Finger Vibrato: "The impulse comes from the finger itself, which swings from its base knuckle with the hand slightly yielding and moving passively in flexible response to the finger action. This vibrato is smaller in width than the other types."

Mine is probably finger vibrato combined with a little arm vibrato. Or rather given my standard, it's not even call vibrato , it's called going out of tune . But as Clara said, As long as I hav the determination , there's still hope ( dunno whethr she thinks i'm hopeless or wat , but still I'LL STRIVE !!!!)

will post about my resolution ad aim that i'm going to do next year when i'm using he comp today . (cos it is alr 12 am!) and I'M NOT SLEEPING !

I PROMISE!!!
